This is short and a bit of fun really but it’s a great tip and I use it a LOT in my emails, especially when I’m promoting affiliate products (but also with my own products).
I learned this from an old-timer affiliate marketer (who was actually younger than me when he told me) but I like it anyhow.
Here’s the trick…
You take the headline from the offer you’re promoting (OR the headline from your own offer if that’s the one you’re emailing about)…
…and use it as the sign-off (or in the body) of your promotion email.
So for example if I’m promoting a product and the headline is:
‘How To Create Your Own $7,000 Per Month Membership Site In Just 30 Days’
Then I’ll include the above headline somewhere in my email.
I’ll say something like:
‘Anyway I know you’re busy (because I am too) so remember, if you want to find out how to create your own $7,00 per month membership site in just 30 days hit the link below for full details.
It works well if you end the email with it, or better, use it as the P.S.
This works because it’s the first thing they see when they click your link and end up on the sales page for the product.
For additional ‘umph’ you can also make the entire headline into a
hyperlink that takes the reader to the website
It’s really simple I know but it promotes consistency of message and if you’re not convinced, go and test your clickthrough rates when you use the headline and when you don’t. I have tested and that’s why I use it ;).
Shhhhh!
